TheLadders: Recruiter

Background

Time is of the essence for recruiters when sourcing candidates for new job requests. TheLadders’ Recruiter mobile app was created to allow recruiters to begin the sourcing process and shortlist potential candidates without having to be close to their computer.

Approach

This project involved partnering with a product manager, researcher, visual designer and a small engineering team in New York City to hold cross-disciplinary workshops, formulate and refine designs, prototype, build, and deliver TheLadders Recruiter iOS app. A large portion of the research and development for this project was conducted during a five-week intensive longitudinal study, where a small group of recruiters provided continuous feedback on early versions of the app to produce a focused and validated MVP, ready for release.

Outcomes

Under 5 months from concept to the Apple App Store with a 4.5 star rating (as of March 2014).
